Our business model

NWA Water Pros specifies and supplies your system. Installation is performed by an independent licensed plumbing contractor.

We test your water, recommend a system, and supply the equipment. The physical plumbing installation is completed by an independent plumbing contractor who is separately licensed by the State of Arkansas and carries their own insurance. We coordinate the schedule and stay involved through startup and testing, but the installing contractor is responsible for the plumbing work and warrants their own labor.

Licensing

Plumbing work in Arkansas is regulated by the Arkansas Department of Health, Division of Plumbing and Natural Gas. Connecting water treatment equipment to a potable water supply is plumbing work, and it is subject to code requirements including backflow protection and correct drain air gaps.

What we will always tell you before work starts

• Who will physically perform the installation, by name or company.
• Under whose licence the plumbing work is carried out.
• Who warrants the equipment, and who warrants the labour — these are frequently different parties.
• Whether a permit is required, and who is obtaining it.
• How backflow protection and any drain air gap are being handled.
• What happens if something fails, and who to call.

Why this page exists at all

Water treatment sits at an awkward boundary. Selling and specifying equipment is one activity. Cutting into a potable water supply is another, and it is regulated. Companies sometimes blur the two, implying a licence they do not hold or leaving the customer unclear about who is actually responsible.

You are entitled to a clear answer before anyone touches your plumbing. If any of the above is unclear when we speak, ask, and we will put it in writing.
